A Year of Progress at Spacebase
Looking Back at 2025 and Ahead to 2026
A lot can change in a year. We know this because 2025 was a year of meaningful progress at Spacebase.
Across our product, our website, and how we engage with customers, we invested time and energy into becoming clearer, stronger, and more connected to the teams who rely on our platform every day.
Here is a look at what changed in 2025 and what we are building toward in 2026.
Listening More Closely to Our Customers
In 2025, we spent more time engaging directly with customers and highlighting their feedback in places where buyers actively research lease software.
At the start of 2025, Spacebase had 18 reviews on G2. By the end of the year, that number grew to 76 total reviews, representing 58 new reviews added in 2025. This growth reflects steady engagement from accounting and real estate teams using Spacebase in real world workflows.
On Gartner Digital Markets, Spacebase currently has 37 total reviews, with 21 submitted prior to 2025. Together, these platforms provide a clear view into how teams evaluate Spacebase based on real usage.
You can explore those reviews here:

To everyone who took the time to share feedback on G2 or Gartner, thank you. Your reviews help other teams evaluate Spacebase with confidence and directly influence how we continue to improve the platform.
A Website Refresh to Better Reflect Who We Are
Before 2025, Spacebase had a single homepage with limited detail. There were no dedicated product pages, no blog, and very little space to explain how the platform actually works.
In 2025, we changed that.
We launched a more complete website that now gives visitors clear, detailed information about our features, services, and product functionality. Prospects can understand what Spacebase does, who it is built for, and how it supports lease administration and lease accounting before ever requesting a demo.
We partnered with Jenny VanSeters, an incredibly talented designer located in Santa Barbara, just down the road from our team. Her work helped us better communicate Spacebase’s strengths in a way that feels clear, focused, and honest.

Continued Product Improvements Throughout the Year
On the product side, 2025 was about meaningful, practical improvements.
We rolled out updates throughout the year focused on speed, flexibility, and usability. One example was improving currency conversion performance, which helped large enterprise clients generate reports faster than ever before across global portfolios.
We also introduced features that improved day-to-day collaboration and accuracy, including:
- A comment box for accounting lease reviewers to streamline internal communication and review workflows
- Customizable journal entry formats that allow clients to add custom columns and apply custom foreign exchange logic
These changes addressed real friction points for accounting teams and reduced manual work during review and close.
We also formalized how we ship product updates. Spacebase releases updates on a monthly schedule. Ahead of each release, users can access a preview environment to review upcoming changes before they go live.
This approach gives teams predictability, time to validate workflows, and confidence that nothing will change unexpectedly.
Expanding AI Capabilities with Care
In 2025, we invested heavily in building and refining AI capabilities behind the scenes.
That work sets the stage for 2026.
This year, we will begin rolling out AI assistance that allows users to ask direct questions about their lease portfolio and receive clear answers backed by citations from the source leases. Instead of digging through documents, teams can quickly understand options, terms, and obligations tied to specific leases.
This is not about replacing accounting judgment. It is about reducing the time spent searching for information and minimizing interpretation errors when answers already exist.
Strengthening CPA Support
CPA guidance has always been part of how Spacebase supports lease accounting teams. In 2025, we expanded that support by welcoming Melynda Love, CPA to our team.
Melynda brings deep expertise in lease accounting and plays an active role in strengthening how workflows are reviewed, supported, and documented. Her experience helps ensure that product decisions, customer guidance, and educational content continue to align with real accounting and audit expectations.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Spacebase exists because there was a gap in the market.
Lease software has historically been difficult to use, slow, and frustrating for the teams it is meant to support. That gap still exists today, and reviews across the market continue to reflect it.
We are committed to continuing to fill that gap.
In 2026, our focus remains on delivering what accounting and real estate teams actually need:
- Clearer training and tutorials
- CPA written technical and educational content
- Continued product improvements driven by real workflows
- More customer stories grounded in real use cases
- In-application AI functionality
At Spacebase, we will continue building software that is easier to use, easier to trust, and designed around the realities of lease administration and lease accounting.
We are grateful to the customers who continue to support us, challenge us, and help shape what comes next. We are looking forward to sharing our progress with you throughout 2026. To stay in touch, make sure to follow us on LinkedIn
